Amsterdam, June 12, 1942. Anne celebrates her 13th birthday and begins her diary, which she calls Kitty. Hiding for two years from the German threat, the young girl writes about her idealistic views on the world, her ambitions, her fears and her first love, Peter.

Frank Zappa's May 17, 1988 concert performance was captured and broadcast by Televisión Española. None of the song performances would make it onto albums showcasing this iteration of Zappa's band, his last touring rock group. The broadcast itself would not be used by Zappa either, as the television station presented him with a faulty VHS instead of the master tape. This concert video lives on only as a bootleg.

The Birmingham comedian returns home for this sell-out gig.

Idiosyncratic composer, unique musician and ground-breaking film director…..Frank Zappa packed more into his short lifetime than most men would manage in two. His restless, challenging, creative spirit meant that he never stood still during a career that bought huge critical and commercial success – Zappa sold more than 60 million albums both as a solo artist and with the Mothers of Invention. The life and work of Frank Zappa are examined in this superb new critical review, which features new in-depth interviews with industry insiders, rock journalists and respected critics plus highlights from the songs that re-drew the face of rock music.

All year long there is an 'eternal line' of people waiting to visit the Anne Frank House in the Dutch city of Amsterdam. Who are they? Where are they from? And why are they here? This film watches the line through the course of the four seasons, in search of stories from all over the world. We see people both before and after their visit to the Secret Annex, and hear what it felt like to spend a few moments in such close touch with history. Personal stories are interspersed with passages from Anne Frank's diary, read in many different languages by girls about the same age as Anne at the time. Meanwhile we get an impression of everyday life as it unfolds around those waiting in line - the canal boats, the street musicians, the ticket seller, the homeless man... For all its poignancy "In Line for Anne Frank" is a document that also inspires hope.
